Return Policy

At thiphroxaphan, we take pride in every accessory we create. This Return Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are handled. This policy is provided in accordance with EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and Dutch consumer law (Burgerlijk Wetboek Book 7).

Shipping and Delivery

We ship custom accessories with insured delivery. Delivery times and costs depend on destination:

• Netherlands: typically 2–4 business days after dispatch
• EU: typically 3–7 business days
• International: typically 7–14 business days

You will receive tracking information once your order is dispatched. Delivery costs are calculated at checkout. Custom pieces are dispatched after completion and final approval; lead times are communicated before you place your order.

Consumer Withdrawal Right (EU/Netherlands)

Under EU and Dutch law, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. Custom-made or personalized goods made to the consumer’s specifications are exempt from this right (Art. 16(a) Directive 2011/83/EU). Because our accessories are bespoke and made to your design, the 14-day withdrawal right does not apply once production has started. You may cancel before production begins as set out in our Cancellation Policy below.

Custom-Made Items

Because our pieces are made specifically for you according to your design specifications, custom-made items are non-refundable once production has begun. This includes:

• Bespoke jewelry created to your specifications
• Personalized or engraved pieces
• Custom-painted silk scarves
• Items with specific stone or material selections

We strongly encourage you to carefully review all design details, measurements, and material choices before approving production.

Defects and Quality Issues

If your item arrives with a manufacturing defect or quality issue, we will gladly repair or remake it at no additional cost. To report a defect:

• Contact us within 14 days of receiving your item
• Provide photographs clearly showing the defect
• Include your order number and contact details

After reviewing your claim, we will provide instructions for returning the item if necessary.

Shipping Damage

If your accessory arrives damaged due to shipping, please:

• Document the damage with photographs before removing items from packaging
• Contact us within 48 hours of delivery
• Keep all original packaging materials

We will work with the shipping carrier to resolve the issue and provide a replacement or refund as appropriate.

Size Adjustments

For jewelry items requiring size adjustments (such as rings or bracelets), we offer resizing services:

• First adjustment within 30 days of purchase: Complimentary
• Subsequent adjustments: Fee based on complexity
• Customer covers return shipping costs

Please note that not all pieces can be resized depending on design and materials.

Cancellation Policy

Orders may be cancelled under the following conditions:

• Before design approval: Full refund of any deposit paid
• After design approval but before production: 50% of deposit refunded
• After production has begun: No refund available

Return Process

If you need to return an item (for defect or damage claims), follow these steps:

• Contact us via email or phone to initiate the return
• Receive a return authorization and shipping instructions
• Package the item securely in original packaging if available
• Ship via insured, trackable method
• Keep proof of postage until resolution

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receiving the returned item. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the refund.
